I can give you the entire cocktail: I take carbamazepine for bipolar disorder, which should in theory “slow me down” a bit; I drink coffee at 9am and 3pm; I vape nicotine all day and night; I vape weed mostly at night (but it’s been creeping into the day!!!); and then I do “OMAD,” one meal a day, so I only eat dinner.

That’s what I’m on! It’s a lot lmfao!

What should we read

Expand full comment

most of my reading has been on later islamic theology so my recs have gaps!! but

- Hayy Ibn Yaqzan by Ibn Tuyfal is a favorite of mine though a more anecdotal read. I think i raved to Mills about this one??

- Book of Assistance by Imam Al-Haddad

- Revival of religious sciences by Al-Ghazali - i havent finished this one yet (dense) but enjoyed the chunks ive read so far! supposed to be a watershed text for islamic mysticism from that period

- Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam by Iqbal - wayy later text and probably more about practical and social applications of islam but one of my favs from the general theology category

I think in this one I am vaping both marijuana (apologies if that's bad!) and nicotine; the little blue devices are nicotine vapes, and that insane bag thing is the contraption I use for weed!

I do pick my nose, when it seems required! I couldn’t say either posting or picking is strongly associated with a mood for me, happiness or another, but I can definitely shift some energy from the former to the latter.
