This isn’t some big deal, first off.
and I just recorded this conversation after reading some posts and notes about a few interrelated themes; we discuss “fallenness,” a kind of state a world or an individual might find themselves in; nonduality and related Buddhist concepts; parenthood; a number of Christian and mystical ideas, including the Book of Job; the weird amount of goodness and beauty in the world / the arbitrarity of calling it “the problem of evil”; and much more!It begins a bit mid-stream, with me noting that since my mother died, it feels as though something has broken in my brain; it’s not quite as serious as that sounds, though.
A couple of the things that prompted this and that we refer to are below, and we’ll add more as we remember!
